    GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus Review

  • Jason
  • Samsung is a seasoned maker of Android maker of Android Tablets and it has hit the right notes with the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. This tablet is superior in many ways to the original 7in Galaxy Tab which was released in 2010. True with the name, the Tab Plus has a lot of enhancements which we will check out in this review.

    Looking Good
Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a sleek and sexy brushed plastic body and even comes in three color schemes. The slim body make it easy to slip it into a cargo pants pocket or handbag, as well as to hold in one hand while operating.

Also, it's possible to make calls from the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus without the aid of bluetooth handsfree kit, which is not possible with the original. However, putting a 7in Tablet next to your face and to talk may attract strange looks or a few chuckles. So, it may be best to stick to a Bluetooth handsfree kit for making calls. You can also make Video calls from the tab.

    Bright and Clear
Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a PLS (plane to line switching) touchscreen panel with a resolution of 1,024 x 600-pixels. This type of panel is 10% brighter and offers a wider viewing angle of up to 2X compared to a standard screen. It also improves visibility hen viewing the screen under bright sunlight.

The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM which made it a smooth experience. It is quick to launch apps, and is responsive to taps and swipes. There are occasional lags when switching orientation or swiping to other homescreens but they are bearable.

Like most tablet, it has WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, accelerometer, digital compass, gyroscope and ambient light sensor.

Panasonic Lumix DMC - TZ30 Review

  • Jason
  • The TZ30 is the replacement for the outgoing TZ30 from Penasonic, featuring an increased zoom range from 16X to 20X. The mode dial is slightly off-center instead of being located on the right end with normal cameras. As such, you will probably be more comfortable with having both hands on the camera.

The TZ30 sports a power switch, rather than a power button. Right beside the shutter release button is the video record button which makes it easy to start recording a movie, just by shifting your index finder. The TZ30 sports aperture, shutter priority and manual modes, so users have the freedom of choice to shoot in a manner that best suits the ocassion.

Last but not least, the TZ30 sports a touchscreen!
